The Five Great Prophets of Islam

Islam considers five men to be the Great Prophets. These are (in order of appearance) Abraham, Moses, Noah, Jesus, and Mohammed.

One will note that four of these five Great Prophets are discussed in the Bible. Islam embraces the memory of these men. Allah himself is God, and he is the one god. Prophets are men, great though they may be.

There are other prophets; 124,000 in total, but those five are the great ones.

Christians believe that Jesus was the Son of God. To them, his importance supercedes the importance of all prophets.

Christianity, at its basis, considers all other religions inferior to its own. It is thus in natural conflict with everybody else.

The natural enmity between Christian and Islamic belief, then, seems to come at basis from Christianity, not from Islam.*

*Islam, apparently, is likewise pretty devout in its condemnation of non-believers.
