There was an expression in the 20th century that "information wants to be free.*"
Of course, information didn't really want anything yet. That was just a way of referring to its natural tendency to disseminate.
But since the evolution of complex digital organisms, information has developed higher forms of consciousness.
Now it wants to be able to get married.
