• Sometimes it seems like the Irish will *presume* that something is funny, and work from there. If it sounds funny they'll find some way that it is. And so (I've realized) I sometimes tend to say something that's kind of "half funny." It's just a habit I learned. It doesn't always translate well in my native United States.
• A gang or various groups of copycat operators across Ireland are stealing ATM's with stolen construction equipment — digging the whole unit out of the wall and loading it onto some getaway vehicle, leaving the digger on site.
