Irish women in public — no recognition

Irish women have no apparent awareness of strangers in public.

This is a generalization, and is therefore partially untrue — but it's generally true.

When approaching two Irish women who are standing smack-dab in the middle of the footpath (sidewalk,) or yes in the middle of a doorway, one may stare directly at the sides of the eyeballs of the one who is the best candidate to move out of my way, and try to discern any recognition that one is approaching. There will be none.
