June 2002
All that, and the bastard got away. Well, it's not surprising to find little thoughts of suspicion and skepticism. But let's stick with what we know.
What about bin Laden? His danger to the world makes Saddam look positively quaint.... December 2003 |
The world's most wanted man, Osama bin Laden, escaped capture. He escaped capture. The world's most wanted man. Hm. I don't know. Somehow I just imagine that the United States has the resources to track a person down, if he's living on Earth and if he associates with anybody.
It may just be an example of the incompetence of the country's national intelligence organizations. Andas I'm implyingI think that's the most benevolent interpretation of the missed opportunity. Any speculation, of course, is flapdoodle and God knows there's enough of it.
It just seems to me that the United States could have captured Osama bin Laden if they had really tried. That's all I'm saying.
Of course, you didn't see me volunteering to go do it.
