The internet as my hard-drive

When I had to write in cybercafes, for about two years in three countries, I learned to think of integrating all of my work into web pages. That is, everything that I wanted to type and save would be backed up on the internet, anyway, best in the form of an HTML document — a web page.

And I started to think about the internet as my hard drive; therefore a browser window the nearest equivalent of a possible desktop.
