Thin walls

Never had a TV licence in Ireland (nor a TV)

I got a postcard in my mailslot in March of 2008, informing me that I'd need a TV licence if I have a television.

I don't have a television.

A few weeks later, I got a letter from An Post, the postal service, who are in charge of collecting the TV tax. "A television Licence Inspector called to your address recently. Unfortunately, the Inspector did not get the opportunity to speak with you....

"You were ... requested to purchase a TV Licence immediately...."

But I don't have a television.

I never responded.

In the next year and a half that I lived at that address, nobody returned to ask me about it.
