Earth, A.D. 2050 A view from the future...
|
At what degree of consciousness does an "observer" become so able to witness quantum reality, and make it behave in a determinate manner?
On Earth, only humans have developed apparati capable of measuring such effects.
But, the apparati set up, who may observe the quantum occasion with a degree of awareness that would constitute "observation," and be able to make the status of a particle/wave "decide itself?"
Human chauvinism, speciesism, has long made us believe that we alone are conscious different by type, not only by degree. Clearly, this is prejudiced.
But the idea that consciousness affects reality seems to imply the existence of a threshold.
At what point is consciousness?
