I lived in Ireland for 8 1/2 years. For most of that time I lived in Kilkenny. For much of that time I lived at an address at the city wall. It was one of eight apartments at the back of a shopping center along the largest remnant of the wall protecting the town's people and commerce from about 1450 CE to the time Cromwell blew a hole out of it.
